Localrent connector for AI assistants

The Localrent connector lets an AI assistant such as Claude search real rental car offers from local rental companies. You describe a destination and dates in your own words, and the assistant returns available cars with prices for those dates — without leaving the conversation. The connector only searches: bookings are made on localrent.com. No account, API key or payment details are needed.

Connecting in Claude

Open Settings → Connectors and select Add custom connector.
Enter the name Localrent and the URL https://mcp.localrent.com/mcp
Select Add. No sign-in is required.

On Team and Enterprise plans, connectors may be added by your administrator. Once connected, Claude uses the connector whenever your question is about renting a car.

How to use

Ask in plain language and in your own language — cities don't need any special format. For example:

"Find me a rental car in Batumi from 15 to 22 September"
"I want to rent an automatic car in Tbilisi next week, under $50 a day"
"Rental cars in Batumi for 15–22 September with no deposit and unlimited mileage"
"I want to rent a car in Batumi and return it in Tbilisi, 15–22 September"

Then ask follow-up questions about the results, for example: "What are the terms for the second car — deposit, insurance, mileage limit?"

You can narrow the search the way you would on a rental site: price, car class, transmission, fuel, seats, deposit, unlimited mileage, free cancellation, insurance, payment methods and extra services such as a child seat or an additional driver. You can also ask for a one-way rental or a specific pickup point, such as an airport or delivery to your hotel.

Where interactive results are supported, cars appear as a carousel of cards with the price per day and for the whole rental. Each card opens the car's page on localrent.com.

Limitations

The connector cannot book a car, take a payment, or view or change existing bookings — use localrent.com for that.
Prices are shown in the currency of the destination country and are not converted, so they match the prices on localrent.com.
Prices and availability are valid for the dates you asked about at the time of the search.
Rental dates must be today or later.

Troubleshooting

Claude doesn't use the connector. Make sure Localrent is turned on for the conversation in the tools menu of the message box, and say directly that you want to rent a car, with the city and dates.
No cars found. Check the city and dates, and try removing some filters — the combination may be too strict for the dates you chose.
An error message. Try the request again in a moment. If it keeps happening, write to us (see Support below) and tell us roughly when it happened and what you asked.

Privacy

The assistant sends us only the parameters of your search; the connector does not receive your conversation, name or contact details. What exactly we receive and how long we keep it is described in the connector Privacy Policy.
