Localrent connector Privacy Policy

This policy explains how we handle data when you use the Localrent connector — an MCP server at mcp.localrent.com that lets AI assistants such as Claude search rental car offers on localrent.com. It applies only to the connector. When you visit localrent.com, the website Privacy Policy applies instead.
Who we are
The connector is operated by Renot Software OU, a company with legal address at Kadaka tee 137-65, Tallinn, Estonia, registration number 12352497, which is the controller of the data described in this policy. You can contact us at [email protected].
What data we receive
When the assistant uses the connector, it sends us the parameters of your search: destination, rental dates, filter values (for example price range, car class or transmission) and the language of your request, together with the name of the assistant. Like any web service, our server also keeps technical records of each request: date and time, requested address, response status, user agent and IP address. With hosted assistants such as Claude on the web, desktop or mobile, the request comes from the assistant provider's servers, so the recorded IP address is theirs rather than your device's; with tools running on your own computer, such as Claude Code, it is your own.
The connector requires no account and does not use cookies. It does not receive your name, contact or payment details, or your conversation with the assistant — that conversation is handled by the assistant provider under its own privacy policy (for Claude, the Anthropic Privacy Policy).
How we use it
We use the search parameters to return results, and the records of requests to keep the connector working, investigate faults and prevent abuse such as excessive automated requests. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing a reliable and secure service (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). We do not use this data for advertising or to build user profiles, and we do not sell it.
How long we keep it
Connector logs are deleted automatically after 30 days. Records needed to investigate a specific fault or abuse are kept until the investigation is closed.
Who we share it with
We do not share connector data with third parties. It is stored on our own server, hosted by a hosting provider that processes it only on our behalf. We may disclose data to authorities where the law requires us to.
Links to localrent.com
Every car the connector returns links to its page on localrent.com. These links carry a tag showing which assistant the visit came from (for example, utm_source=claude); they contain no identifier of you or your conversation. Once you follow a link, the website Privacy Policy applies, including its rules on cookies and bookings.
Your rights
You have the right to access the data we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing and to object to it. To exercise these rights, write to [email protected]. Since the connector does not collect identifiers, please tell us the approximate time of your search so that we can find the records. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. You can stop using the connector at any time by disconnecting it in your assistant's settings.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the connector handles data, we will update this policy and the date at the top of the page.
